Originally from the Chicago area, I moved to Savannah, Georgia after graduating high school to pursue a degree in Metals and Jewelry at The Savannah College of Art and Design. While I enjoyed metalworking, it did not appeal to me in the same way ceramics did, so I left the school after my second year to search for a school offering a ceramics program. Conveniently, I discovered another school in Savannah, Armstrong State University, had an excellent program, and I began my first semester there in Fall 2013 after being out of school for over a year.

While many of my earlier pieces do not relate to each other, my most recent works share the theme of undersea life. Texture is my favorite element to work with, and I have found the most interesting ones in plants under the sea. I am still experimenting with the idea and hope to eventually master it.
